We value collaboration, integrity, and excellence — helping clients bridge transitions with confidence.Syncopated Synergy is looking to add an Interim/Fractional Controller to our team. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role where you will lead the client’s accounting and finance operations, partner with our CFO or senior leadership, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting during the assignment. You will have the opportunity to work with clients across a variety of industries and company sizes.Please note: This is not a temp-to-hire or recruiting opportunity. Consultants operate under contract with our firm, not as candidates for client employment.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead month, quarter, and year-end close cyclesManage Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableOversee GL reconciliation and preparation of financial statementsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoringEnsure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit readinessAssist in annual audits and tax filingsRecommend improvements to accounting systems, processes, and proceduresMentor accounting staff, and ensure smooth hand-off to permanent teamPerform other accounting duties as assigned by CFO or senior leadershipDocument processes and prepare for smooth hand-off to permanent finance leadershipCompetencies & QualitiesStrong written and verbal business acumenStrategic thinking and problem-solving skillsDeep understanding of GAAP, GL oversight, and internal controlsStrong attention to detail and organizationTech-savvy with proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, and similarAbility to work independently and collaborativelyClear and concise communication skillsRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (required)5–10+ years of experience in accounting leadership rolesExperience managing full accounting operations, close cycles, and auditsColorado residents will be considered firstEngagement DetailsContract (1099) status or W2 HourlyAssignment typically 3–9 monthsCompensation based on experienceAPPLY HERE: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdOAClAda_PyZ_uj0LlXhNSOdiFGoRE6zObht9VoQrrxkq0Ww/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=108729707816984872747
