The nurse will utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. The role involves addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. The nurse will administer medications and treatments as per protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness. Documentation of patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided is essential. Assessing learning needs and providing education to patients and their families is also a key responsibility. The nurse must meet expectations of applicable competencies and demonstrate the ability to manage contingencies in clinical nursing. The position involves a nursing patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients. Every other weekend work is required. No floating to other units will be necessary. All new hires must complete the initial designated on-boarding requirements and annual competency verification.
