We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Security Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be on the front lines of defense—deploying, optimizing, and maintaining critical physical and digital security architectures for our diverse client base.
Role Overview:
As a Security Technician, you will handle hands-on installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of integrated security systems. You will bridge the gap between physical hardware and network security, ensuring all endpoints, surveillance systems, access controls, and monitoring tools are flawlessly executed and resilient against threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Deployment: Install, program, and configure physical security systems, including IP security cameras, Access Control Systems (ACS), intrusion detection alarms, and unified management software.
Network Integration: Connect security hardware to client networks, ensuring proper IP addressing, VLAN segmentation, and secure data transmission.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity failures for complex security systems under tight service level agreements (SLAs).
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all installations strictly adhere to industry compliance standards and company best practices. Document system configurations, network layouts, and physical layouts cleanly.
Client Advisory: Conduct walk-throughs with client’s post-installation, explaining system functionality, mobile app integration, and basic security hygiene with a helpful, professional demeanor.
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for a technical problem-solver who takes ownership of their work and understands that security is an ongoing commitment.
Required Experience:
Professional Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing commercial security systems, IP video surveillance, and access control.
Networking Basics: Solid foundational knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and low-voltage wiring.
Technical Rigor: Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and network diagrams effortlessly.
Customer-Facing Polish: Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical setups into simple, actionable explanations for clients.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Certifications:
CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA.
Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., 3xLogic, PDK, Axis, Hanwha, or similar enterprise security platforms).
Familiarity with managed services provider (MSP) environments and remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
