We also offer voluntary benefits: vision, long-term disability, and life insurance.  Position Details:This position will be HybridThe hiring range for this role is typically between $70,000-$85,000 based on experience, internal equity, and career progressionPrimary Function:The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting the EHSQ Manager by administering and maintaining the organization’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and assisting with day‑to‑day facilities projects. This role focuses on routine execution, compliance support, data tracking, and continuous improvement of EHS initiatives, while helping ensure facilities projects are evaluated and implemented in alignment with applicable safety and environmental regulations.Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:Serve as a key EHS contact for employeesAssist the EHSQ Manager in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety programsConduct routine EHS walkthroughs and inspections of facilities, work areas, and projects; document findings and track corrective actionsAssist with incident and near‑miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action trackingReview and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical inventories, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments, and associated documentationParticipate in evaluating new and existing processes, equipment, and facilities projects for safety hazards and regulatory requirements, and performing job safety/hazard analysisAssist in preparing, revising, and updating EHS policies, procedures, trainings, and related documentationSupport regulatory compliance by staying informed of applicable federal, state, and local EHS requirements and escalating concerns as appropriateCoordinate and run the safety committeeAssist with administering EHS training programsManage hazardous waste and disposal activitiesGather, track, and maintain environmental performance dataAssist with oversight and coordination of day‑to‑day facilities projects and maintenance activitiesPerform other duties as assignedFollow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or other STEM-related field Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment preferredStrong written and verbal English language communication skillsExcellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectivelyDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work groupDemonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core ValuesPass a post-offer background verificationWork Environment Office: Standard office environment with normal office-related conditions. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers. Additional work in Assembly/Manufacturing and Shop environments with various types of machinery where appropriate PPE must be worn or in Warehouse environments to do inspections, evaluations, and incident investigations.
