By intentionally limiting the number of projects, Massei Construction maintains a high level of involvement, responsiveness, and quality across all engagements.Role Description The Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Gatos, CA, supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of luxury residential construction projects. This position assists project managers with scheduling, submittals, RFIs, document control, and tracking project progress against budgets and timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with architects, engineers, trade partners, and suppliers, and helping resolve design and construction issues in a timely, solutions-focused manner. The Project Engineer will support site teams with field observations, quality control, and documentation to ensure work aligns with design intent and company standards. The role also involves preparing reports, maintaining project records, and contributing to pre-construction planning, cost analysis, and continuous improvement of project processes.Qualifications Strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills relevant to residential construction and building systems.Demonstrated Project Management and Project Planning abilities, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.Effective Communication skills for collaborating with owners, architects, designers, engineers, trade partners, and internal teams.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, and permitting processes; experience with custom or high-end residential projects is preferred.Proficiency with project management and collaboration software (e.g., MS Office, scheduling tools, and construction management platforms).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.Ability to work on-site in Los Gatos, CA, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism in a collaborative environment.
