DENTAL ASSISTANT

Job Description The following are what we look for:Assisting with dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, and extractionsTaking & pouring dental impressions (molds of the mouth)Operating equipment and monitorsTalking with patientsPreparing examination areasCleaning up after proceduresSterilizing equipmentKnowledge of advanced dental procedures in order to anticipate the order of operationsAbility to take X-rays, blood pressure readings, and dental impressionsKnowledge of dental materials and maintaining equipmentSettle patients in and prepare them for their check-up, surgery, or procedureAsk about their medical historyBe a good listenerHelp patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatmentBe a good communicator, as you'll provide oral hygiene and care instructions for procedures or surgeryCommunicating with patients to schedule appointments, make reminder callsMonitoring and ordering supplies when needed
