Production Manager (HM&E)

Production Manager Full Time San Diego, CA ** This position is apart of a proposal effort - we are seeking interested candidates for this role** Overview The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing shipboard Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) repair and maintenance activities. This role ensures technical accuracy, quality compliance, and effective execution of maintenance work on aircraft carriers or surface ships. The ideal candidate brings deep HM&E engineering experience and strong leadership skills within naval maintenance environments. Key Responsibilities Lead, coordinate, and supervise personnel performing shipboard HM&E maintenance and repair activities. Oversee integration of work processes, adherence to maintenance procedures, and compliance with scheduling requirements during availability periods. Manage daily production operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with naval standards. Ensure all maintenance activities are executed in alignment with the Navy Quality Assurance Program, 3M Program, and Navy Supply System requirements. Coordinate with engineering, planning, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and maintain schedule integrity. Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and generate reports reflecting status, issues, and resource needs. Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance practices, workforce performance, and operational efficiency. Required Experience Ten (10) years of experience in aircraft carrier or surface ship HM&E engineering. Five (5) years of experience coordinating and supervising personnel performing shipboard HM&E repairs. – At least two (2) years must involve direct participation in aircraft carrier or surface ship maintenance availabilities, including work integration, administration, procedures, and scheduling. Four (4) years of experience administering the Navy Quality Assurance Program, 3M, and the Navy Supply System. - Active Security ClearanceDesired Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of naval HM&E systems, maintenance processes, and technical documentation. Proven leadership and team coordination skills in ship repair or naval maintenance environments. Ability to manage complex maintenance schedules and multi-disciplinary teams. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Pay: $88,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year Security clearance: Secret (Required) Work Location: In person
