We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending, a 401 (k) with employer matching, paid holidays, Life and Disability Insurance, and additional supplemental products.SMG is seeking an Environmental Advisor - Owner's Rep in Lebanon, Indiana.The Environmental Advisor is responsible for coordinating the implementation of environmental compliance programs, permit requirements, corporate environmental policies, standards, procedures, and strategic environmental goals within their assigned region, plant, and project scope.Overview Of Job ResponsibilitiesProvide environmental oversight of construction activities on a 200-acre siteSupport client, contractors, and sub-contractors with environmental compliance across varying regulatory programs, including but not limited to: IDEM NPDES, Stormwater, RCRA, Air, and SPCCConduct site-wide assessments to ensure permit compliance and identify areas of concernDevelop environmental plans for construction activities for implementing, tracking, and documenting varying permit requirementsDevelop and maintain all necessary environmental documents and recordsWork closely with on-site contractors to ensure proper understanding of issued permit thresholds and operating parametersDevelop and administer training materials as needed to on-site personnel/contractorsProvide support during environmental compliance reviews, internal audits, agency, or regulatory site inspectionsRequirementsMinimum of five years of environmental experienceBachelor's or Associate Degree in Environmental Science or related fieldPrevious experience working on construction projectsMust possess a thorough knowledge of environmental studiesAbility to plan, organize, and problem-solveHave excellent written and oral communication skills and initiativePhysical Demands of the job may includeMoving about long distancesAscending/descending stairs and laddersRemaining in a stationary position for a prolonged periodWorking in extreme weatherBeing exposed to loud noisesWearing personal protective gear correctlyJoin an elite group of Professionals!SMG provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
