Location: Remote / Washington, DC preferredEngagement: Advisory Leadership (High-Trust Council Role)Compensation: Retainer + HonorariumReports to: Chair, Klaritee Federal Safety Council (Executive Director)SUMMARYThe Klaritee Federal Safety Council (KFSC) is seeking a senior legal and regulatory executive to serve as the Council’s principal authority on law, compliance, oversight, and public accountability for the deployment of Interpretive Geometric Intelligence (IGI).As the Director of Regulatory Affairs, Law & Civic Compliance, you will act as the Council’s Chief Legal Officer, responsible for navigating complex federal, state, and administrative frameworks governing AI safety, data integrity, transparency, civil liberties, and public trust.This role is ideal for former senior attorneys or legal executives from DOJ, FTC, SEC, DHS, state AG offices, large regulatory bodies, or high-stakes public-interest domains. You understand how law, governance, and emerging technology intersect, and how to build structures that minimize liability while ensuring public safety and institutional integrity.Your expertise will guide the Council’s legal posture, safeguard the clarity and legitimacy of IGI deployments, and help establish national standards for deterministic-system governance.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLegal Governance & Regulatory OversightServe as the chief legal authority for all KFSC activities, recommendations, and safety protocols.Interpret and advise on federal, state, and administrative laws affecting IGI deployment, including:data governanceaccountability standardstransparency requirementspublic-sector procurementregulatory compliancecivil-liberties protectionsLead legal reviews of all major deployment scenarios and risk assessments.Policy Interpretation & Public AccountabilityGuide legal alignment with federal agencies, state governments, and regulatory bodies.Support the development of compliance articles of governance that ensure IGI’s deployment remains constitutionally sound and publicly defensible.Identify potential liability exposures and preemptively design risk-mitigation structures.Ensure the Council’s work is legible, defensible, and grounded in legal rigor.Interagency & Legislative EngagementPartner with government officials, legislative staff, policy advisors, oversight committees, and regulatory agencies.Provide expert guidance on how IGI fits within existing and emerging AI regulatory safety and security.Assist in drafting legal language, briefing materials, position statements, and compliance documentation for government review.Ethical & Civic Compliance IntegrationCollaborate closely with the Director of Ethics, Public Trust & Civic Impact to ensure legal compliance aligns with public expectations and moral responsibility.Help establish standards that protect residents, communities, and public institutions from misuse, ambiguity, or systemic risk.Champion legal clarity in all Council recommendations.Founder & Chair CollaborationServe as primary legal advisor to both the KFSC-Chair and the Founder on all matters involving regulatory exposure, statutory interpretation, and governance strategy.Translate complex legal requirements into practical, operational guidance for Council members.Ensure all Council deliberations uphold the highest standards of legal integrity.IDEAL BACKGROUNDCandidates typically include:Former DOJ attorneys, Assistant U.S. Attorneys, FTC/SEC legal executives, or state AG senior counselsSenior compliance leaders in federal, defense, public-sector, or high-regulated industriesLegal executives experienced in:administrative lawAI policy and governancecivil-liberties lawgovernment oversightpublic-interest litigationregulatory enforcementIndividuals with a reputation for firm directness, clarity, fairness, disciplined legal reasoning, and public accountabilityWHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKEThe Director of Regulatory Affairs, Law & Civic Compliance:Establishes IGI’s legal and regulatory guardrails with precision and public legitimacy.Creates standards that protect Klaritee, the Council, and public institutions from legal exposure.Strengthens trust with federal and state governments through transparent, responsible governance.Ensures deterministic reasoning systems comply with all applicable laws and ethical principles.Provides an authoritative, stable legal foundation for nationwide IGI adoption.WHY JOINThis role offers the opportunity to define the legal, regulatory, and public-accountability standards for a new class of deterministic reasoning systems, setting the blueprint for how future governance oversight will manage clarity, safety, and truth-aligned intelligence across society.HONEST APPLICATION NOTICEKlaritee receives applications from exceptional leaders across public safety, defense, intelligence, government, cybersecurity, and legal domains.
