Production Planner - Aerospace
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Planner to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules in a regulated manufacturing environment to ensure on-time delivery, quality compliance, and efficient workflow execution. The Production Planner plays a critical role in supporting customer requirements with a strong focus on accuracy, traceability, and schedule performance. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet aerospace customer demand and delivery requirements
Monitor work order progress and adjust priorities based on changes in demand, capacity, or material availability
Coordinate material availability with purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain to support uninterrupted production flow
Track, analyze, and communicate production status, delays, and risks in a regulated manufacturing environment
Ensure production planning aligns with quality system requirements, revision control, and configuration management standards
Maintain traceability of jobs, materials, and documentation in accordance with aerospace quality expectations
Identify and support resolution of production bottlenecks impacting schedule adherence and delivery performance
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and purchasing teams to support daily aerospace operations
Expedite or reschedule orders as needed to support customer commitments and on-time delivery performance
Maintain accurate system data related to job status, lead times, and material requirements in MRP/ERP systems
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or aerospace/manufacturing operations
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred
Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows with emphasis on traceability and controlled processes
Experience with MRP/ERP systems
Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and adjust priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams
Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a compliance-focused environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
