ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: As an Order Taker/Runner, you'll play a key role in the overall H-E-B Restaurant guest experience by providing positive and memorable service while you take guest orders, prepare drinks, deliver food, and maintain cleanliness of the dining area and patio.Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:Customer Service / Sales:Builds strong relationships with customers in varying situationsTakes orders from customers; assists with menu / beverage selections, including alcoholic beveragesProvides detailed information on menu items and specials, and beer and wineServes food, drink, and products to guestsProcesses cash, check, debit, and credit transactions accurately and quicklyUses suggestive selling techniques / merchandises effectively to meet guest needs and build department salesInteracts positively with customers in person, on the phone, or through technologyAssists with catering orders as neededAddresses complaints; resolves problems in a way that builds relationshipsModels teamwork to ensure a great guest experiencePrepares, packages, merchandises productAssists in technical areas as neededCompliance / Food Safety / Sanitation:Ensures compliance with TABC regulationsEnsures compliance with department and Store standard operating proceduresBuses / cleans tables; performs deep clean of dining, ordering, bar areas, as neededMaintains beverage station and bar areasMaintains sanitation in food / beverage prep areas and display casesProperly handles, operates, and maintains equipmentPerforms other duties as assignedThe responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
