Special Education Teacher in Effingham, SC

Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic, inclusive school environment near Effingham, SC. Multiple contract opportunities are available in special education for the 2026-2027 school year, serving Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. Collaborate with dedicated staff to deliver meaningful instruction and individualized support, helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.Anticipated contract dates are July 22, 2026 (still being finalized) through June 1, 2027, for full-time onsite positions (approximately 37.5 hours per week). Multiple positions open: Early Childhood (1), Elementary (6), Middle (1), and High (2). Additional role details will be provided as they become available.Qualifications & Desired Experience:Current teaching certification in Special Education (relevant grade band)Experience with IEP development, implementation, and documentationAbility to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet varied learning needsStrong classroom management and organizational skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesKnowledge of best practices in inclusion and differentiated instructionPrior experience in a school-based special education setting preferredResponsibilities:Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Deliver direct instruction and support to students with special needsCollaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnelTrack student progress, provide regular updates, and adjust plans as neededFoster a positive, respectful, and supportive classroom environmentParticipate in professional development and school meetingsSupport students in reaching their fullest potential while building valuable skills in a rewarding setting.
