This role reports to our Managing Director, US, and is a full-time position based in SoHo.Your ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a profile who can combine the roles of retail leader, brand ambassador, and connector to the design community. In this role, you will have full ownership of the store’s commercial performance, team development, and local market presence. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional client experience, building strong relationships, and positioning the SoHo store as a leading design destination.Your responsibilities include:Team leadership & culture: Recruit, hire, and onboard a high-performing team; lead, coach, and develop employees; set clear expectations and KPIs; and foster a collaborative, accountable, and design-driven culture.Sales & performance: Own and deliver sales targets; drive key metrics such as conversion, average order value, and retention; lead by example on the floor; and ensure strong client relationships and high-value transactions.Client experience & brand standards: Uphold Louis Poulsen’s premium service, storytelling, and product knowledge; maintain a visually compelling store environment; build relationships with high-value and repeat clients; and resolve client matters with professionalism.Community & brand activation: Develop local activation strategies; plan and host events, launches, and cultural programming; collaborate with marketing; and build partnerships with local creatives, brands, and institutions.Trade & business development: Grow relationships with architects, interior designers, and trade clients; position the store as a trusted project partner; and drive project-based business in collaboration with regional sales.Operations & execution: Oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory, and merchandising; ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and CRM usage; coordinate with logistics and customer service; and maintain operational excellence and compliance.Market ownership & strategy: Act as Louis Poulsen’s brand ambassador in New York; provide insights on clients, products, and trends; identify growth opportunities; and contribute to long-term store strategy and performance optimization.About YouWe are looking for an experienced and commercially driven retail leader with a passion for design and a strong ability to build both high-performing teams and lasting client relationships. You bring solid business acumen and are comfortable managing KPIs, reporting, and cost control, while operating hands-on in a fast-paced, high-touch environment. With a structured approach and strong communication skills, you are able to balance multiple priorities and lead with clarity, accountability, and professionalism.You likely bring:5+ years of store management experience within premium or luxury retail, with a strong track record of delivering sales results.Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams, combined with a hands-on leadership style on the sales floor.Experience working with both direct-to-consumer and trade business, including building relationships within the architecture and design (A&D) community (an existing local network is a plus).A strong understanding of clienteling and consultative selling in a high-touch retail environmentProficiency in CRM systems, POS platforms, and retail reporting tools.A genuine interest in design, architecture, and lighting, with the credibility to represent the Louis Poulsen brand at a high level.Why join us?We offer a challenging job in a dynamic but informal organization.
