Teacher Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate bilingual Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childhood development and experience working with children of various ages and abilities. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers with classroom management, providing individualized support to students, and promoting an inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and growth.
Duties
Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
Support students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the teacher as needed.
Facilitate small group activities and one-on-one instruction to reinforce learning objectives.
Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning.
Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and setting up learning stations.
Engage with students during playtime and other non-instructional periods to promote social skills and teamwork.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish speaking) candidate.
Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support diverse learners.
First aid certification is a plus.
Experience in nannying or toddler care is beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
