Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team in overseeing daily operations within a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supporting restaurant management, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining operational efficiency across all departments. A background in food preparation, kitchen management, and team development is essential to succeed in this position. Duties Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food service, kitchen activities, and customer experience Supervise and train staff on food handling, POS systems, & Service Standards Manage inventory control, food safety compliance, and ensure proper food production standards are maintained Oversee shift management to ensure smooth service during peak hours and coordinate staffing needs accordingly Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cash handling duties Support budgeting processes and assist in controlling costs related to food and labor expenses Lead staff training programs focused on culinary skills, food safety, hospitality standards, and team development Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards across all operational areas Collaborate with culinary teams on menu execution, food presentation, and quality assurance for casual dining, fine dining, catering, or banquet services Participate in interviewing prospective employees and contribute to hiring decisions Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, leadership development, and high employee morale Qualifications Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with a focus on food service operations Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management Hands-on experience with POS systems ; cash handling expertise required Strong supervisory skills with previous experience in staff training & development and team management Knowledge of inventory control procedures and food safety regulations Experience managing quick service & fast-food restaurants as well as casual dining establishments; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment Excellent communication skills with proficiency in interviewing candidates and managing shift schedules Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of customer service Culinary experience or background in food production is highly desirable; hospitality or banquet experience is advantageous Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and implement operational improvements This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to lead a vibrant team within a reputable establishment dedicated to excellence in food service.
