The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Fire Safety, has a full-time vacancy for State Building Inspector (Program Specialist III - 47-4010 BLDG INSPECTORS-3). This position has a 37.5 hour work week and is considered non-exempt.Summary:Acts as State Building Inspector implementing the state building permit inspection program. Evaluates building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits and construction plans. Conducts building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and fire code inspections.YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Experience: Equivalent combination of 7 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
