Lab Technician (Media Prep)

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Media Prep Technician to support a fast-paced pharmaceutical research environment in Cambridge. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation of pharmaceutical buffers, agar plates, and tissue culture media. By ensuring the highest quality of laboratory essentials, you will directly enable scientists to focus on developing innovative treatments that change patients' lives.Key Responsibilities:Technical Formulation: Prepare buffers and media in final volumes ranging from 100mL to 200L in strict accordance with formulation documents and SOPs.Quality Assurance: Accurately record weights, pH, and other critical parameters; perform peer reviews of formulation worksheets to ensure 100% accuracy.Supply Chain & Inventory: Conduct daily inventory checks at multiple site locations, manage stock levels, and place orders for raw materials using vendor-supported systems.Lab Stewardship: Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment, including the routine calibration and maintenance of lab instruments and equipment.Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for research teams regarding media requests and delivery timelines.
