At Essity you will find a caring and compassionate culture where we remain grounded in our beliefs & behaviors.About The RoleEssity’s Health and Medical team is seeking an experienced National Account Manager focused for leading the acquisition, growth, and retention of federal medical supply contracts across the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense. This role owns strategic account management for awarded contracts while actively partnering with internal teams to pursue new federal contracting opportunities. This role will also be responsible for maintaining contract position with other smaller GPOs.This is a remote position; however, the Charlotte area is preferred.We’re looking for people who embody our values, aren’t afraid to challenge, innovate, change, and move at a fast pace. If this is you, we’d love to talk.What You Will DoOwn and manage national VA and DoD customer relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for federal medical supply accountsLead contract acquisition and recompete efforts, including identifying opportunities, supporting capture strategy, and partnering with proposal, pricing, and compliance teamsManage post‑award contract execution and retention, ensuring compliance with contract terms, pricing, and performance requirementsDrive utilization and growth of awarded contracts through strategic engagement with VA Medical Centers (VAMCs), DoD treatment facilities, and regional stakeholdersCollaborate cross‑functionally with Government Contracts, Legal, Pricing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing to ensure seamless federal account supportSupport development and maintenance of VA FSS, DLA, ECAT, and other federal contract vehicles, including modifications and extensionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, clinical stakeholders, logistics teams, and federal supply chain leadershipMonitor and interpret federal acquisition regulations (FAR), VAAR, and DFARS to ensure compliance and mitigate riskTrack contract performance, key metrics, and renewal timelines to proactively manage retention and recompete strategiesRepresent the company at relevant federal industry days, government meetings, and conferences to expand visibility and pipelineWho You AreBachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND five (5) years of experience in the medical device or health products industryThree (3) years of demonstrated experience VA and/or DoD contracts, including VA FSS, DLA Troop Support, IDIQs, BPAs, or ECAT programsExperience negotiating contracts, navigating federal procurement (FSS/VA Schedules), and developing and executing business strategies compliant with government regulations.Excellent project management skills as well as strong business and financial acumen, especially in the context of federal budgeting and reimbursement mechanisms.Deep knowledge and expertise in healthcare economics, clinical outcomes, supply chain management, and the unique operating model of the VA healthcare organization.What We Can Offer YouAt Essity, we believe every career is as unique as the individual and empower employees to reach their full potential in a winning culture motivated by a powerful purpose.Compensation and Benefits: Expected CompensationCompetitive annual salary + annual incentive bonus + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.Along with competitive pay you will be eligible for the following benefits:United Healthcare PPO / EyeMed Vision Insurance / Delta Dental InsuranceWellness program provided through RallyHealthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)401(k) with employer match and annual employer base contributionCompany paid Basic Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurancePTO offering with Paid HolidaysScholarship program for children of Essity employees.Additional InformationThe Company is committed to equal employment opportunity and providing reasonable accommodations to qualified candidates and employees pursuant to applicable law.
