Immediate openings and urgently hiring!Position SummaryWe're seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team in Mobile, AL. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for a variety of custom parts in a job shop setting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset, ensuring efficient setups, accurate machining, and minimal downtime across diverse projects.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)Interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and engineering specifications to determine machining strategiesSelect appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on material and design requirementsCollaborate with machinists and engineers to validate programs and troubleshoot issues during setup and productionSimulate toolpaths and verify program accuracy prior to release to the shop floorMaintain organized program files and revision history for traceability and repeatabilitySupport continuous improvement initiatives by refining machining processes and reducing cycle timesAssist with fixture design and setup documentation when neededEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO/AS9100 standardsQualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field3+ years of experience programming CNC mills and/or lathes in a job shop or custom manufacturing environmentProficiency in CAM software and G-code editingStrong understanding of machining principles, materials, and tolerancesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D modelsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbout CTR Group: CTR Group operates in the staffing and recruitment industry, Nationwide for over 35 years.
