In-House Intervention Supervisor

Jenks Public Schools Job DescriptionPosition: In-House Intervention SupervisorReports to: PrincipalSupervises: NoneQualifications:Hold or be eligible for an Oklahoma teaching certificate.Meet all certification requirements including teaching area endorsement in the State of Oklahoma.Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Position Goal: Give students an opportunity to continue academic studies in a school setting.Provide a structured atmosphere.Modify student behavior so that the student can return to the regular classroom environment.Serve customers in the main office when there are no students assigned to In House. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Strict supervision of students assigned to IHS.Organize student assignments sent by teacher and return when completed by student.Contact teachers if assignments are not sent.Keep an accurate account of student attendance.Handle discipline problems if they arise and report chronic problems to assistant principal in charge of discipline.Supervise restroom breaks of In House students.Supervise lunch break of In House students.Assist Site Administrative Assistant and Registrar with office tasks as needed, including answering the phone, greeting visitors, entering student attendance, and assigning class coverage. Compliance and General Responsibilities:Follows the procedures, practices, and guidelines outlined by the school, district, state, and federal laws intended to keep students healthy and safe.Exhibits consistent reliability-based patterns of behavior (punctuality, dependability, complying with timelines and deadlines).Performs all other duties as assigned.Employment Terms: Nine (9) months a year.
