Data Center Technician

About the RoleWe are looking for a Data Center Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and ongoing operation of server and network infrastructure within a high-availability data center environment.This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure by performing hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware systems. You will play a key role in maintaining uptime and supporting large-scale, mission-critical operations.You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where rapid response, attention to detail, and operational excellence are essential.Key Responsibilities:Install and perform ongoing maintenance on servers and network equipment, including rack & stack, cabling, and physical configuration of devices.Respond to reported server, network, and infrastructure issues in a timely and effective manner.Work with facility teams to ensure power, cooling, and other critical services are functioning properly; coordinate maintenance and escalate outages as needed.Execute assigned tickets and work requests, including diagnosing and repairing hardware issues.Replace server components such as CPUs, memory, drives, motherboards, and network cables.Coordinate with vendor technicians to resolve warranty-related issues promptly and correctly.Proactively identify potential issues and areas to improve operational efficiency, and develop remediation plans.Maintain and document spare parts inventory.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment efficiency, automation, and monitoring.Escalate complex issues and assist system administrators in troubleshooting network, hardware, and Linux OS-related problems.Qualifications:3 to 5 years of experience working in a datacenter as a technician or similar role installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server and network equipment.Experience with large scale network and server deployments.Firm understanding of GPU hardware and liquid cooled rack solutions.Ability to work independently to manage projects within the facility.Firm understanding of servers, network equipment, and datacenter facility services like power, cooling, and cross connections to service providers.Experience with troubleshooting, building, repairing, and upgrading servers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, collaborative nature, and a friendly can-do attitude.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment and respond to incidents proactively.A strong desire and aptitude for solving problems.Ability to logically analyze and solve problems.Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
