Box Truck Driver
LaForce is looking for a Warehouse/Delivery Driver to work within our shop setting to receive products, move materials, and make local deliveries via a box truck.
Starting Pay: $22-25/hr based on experience.
Major Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks both manually and with assist of lift trucks
Check in hardware and other non-hardware items such as furniture, paper products, office products, etc.
Forklift operation
Label hardware per receiving sheet and separate for each specific job
Pull stock for sales orders
Safely balance and secure load on the truck. Effectively maneuver the truck in and out of the job sites and loading docks
Ship confirm bills of lading after delivery
Identify mechanical problems and/or unsafe conditions associated with the truck, the road and/or the job site
Qualifications
High school diploma, Tech School Diploma/Certificate; and at least two years related experience and/or training
Experience driving a 26 ft. box truck a plus
Basic computer experience required
Good communication and customer service skills
A willingness to learn and positive attitude
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record – CDL not required
