Parts Manager

Department: Parts Reports To: Regional Aftersales manager Purpose:Manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. Optimize parts department processes. Attracts, retains, and effectively engages department personnel. Key Responsibilities:Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfactionPromotes and merchandises parts and accessories in conjunction with other store locationsCreates annual Parts Department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectivesDevelops and executes Parts Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure the achievement of departmental goalsMaintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter proceduresSubmits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum creditMaximizes use of all order discount programs to achieve stock order goalsEnsures all department tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working orderManages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this positionAll other duties as assigned Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:1+ years' experience in Parts Department operationsExperience leading othersAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsAbility to write and speak effectively to individuals and groupsBasic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operationsAbility to analyze and interpret internal reportsAbility to work extended hours and weekendsExcellent customer service skillsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
