About the Role
The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end inventory analysis and inventory operations across the distribution network. This role will support inventory planning, purchase order management, sales order coordination, inventory reporting, and cross-functional execution with suppliers, transportation providers, 3PLs, warehouses, and internal supply chain teams.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution environment with large data sets and operational execution responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities for optimization
Maintain accurate inventory records across systems and support cycle counts and reconciliations
Manage purchase orders, sales orders, and inventory-related vendor communication
Coordinate with transportation teams, 3PLs, warehouses, and supply chain partners to support inventory flow and replenishment
Build and manage FTL and LTL shipment planning related to inventory movement
Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Operations, and Warehouse teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels
Prepare and present inventory KPIs and reports, including inventory turns, fill rates, stockouts, aging inventory, and runout analysis
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Support forecasting activities and safety stock planning
Monitor supplier lead times and inventory depletion risks
Assist with implementation of inventory management tools, reporting enhancements, and process improvements
Partner with IT and Operations teams to improve system accuracy and workflow efficiency
Support distributor and inventory transitions across multiple distribution centers and business units
Other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field5+ years of experience in inventory, demand planning, or supply chain analytics
3–7 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or distribution operations
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, BC)
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
