Financial Generalist

Overview: The Financial Generalist provides administrative support to the Controller and plays a key role in financial operations. The ideal candidate must have strong Excel skills and an accounting background. Responsibilities: Assist with the month-end closing process, including correcting journal entries for account discrepancies. Support the preparation of annual operating budgets and performance projections. Manage daily cash receipt processing, recording revenue and receivables, and collaborate with the Billing Team to ensure accurate posting. Prepare daily production and Key Management Reports (KMR) for management review. Work with Inventory Control on costing. Perform complex account analyses. Maintain and update accounting records and files. Verify payments and deposits made through the company account. Assist with inter-company transactions. Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed. Provide general assistance to the Controller as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online preferred). Highly organized and detail-oriented. All other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Frequent mobility, standing, and/or sitting for extended periods. Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting of items up to 50 lbs (with or without assistance). Effective communication through hearing and speaking. Ability to lift up to 15 lbs independently; lifting up to 50 lbs requires assistance.
