Located in: West Valley City, UTEmployment Type: Full-timeShift: Day Shift – 6:00am to 4:30pm (Monday – Thursday)Position DescriptionThe Material Handler plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations at SilencerCo by ensuring accurate, timely movement of materials throughout the facility. This position supports production goals, inventory accuracy, safety standards, and efficient material flow by executing established walking routes, maintaining inventory discipline, and partnering closely with manufacturing teams. Material Handlers are expected to be reliable, detail-oriented team players who contribute to the production of exceptional products.Job ResponsibilitiesExecute established material handling and walking routes to ensure production areas are consistently suppliedAccurately move, stage, and deliver raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods throughout the facilityPerform material transactions in inventory systems to maintain real-time inventory accuracySupport Kanban systems by replenishing materials based on visual signals and established triggersMaintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled material storage areasSupport cycle counting activities and assist with physical inventory audits as neededIdentify and communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or route delays to the Material Handling SupervisorHandle materials in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsFollow all safety procedures, including proper use of material handling equipment and PPEAssist with packaging, staging, and internal transfers to support production and shipping needsCollaborate with production, planning, quality, and maintenance teams to support uninterrupted operationsActively participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, route efficiency, and inventory accuracyCritical ResultsRoute Adherence: Consistently execute assigned walking and material delivery routes on time and as designedMaterial Availability: Ensure materials are available at production points of use to support on-time manufacturingInventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory records through proper transactions and process disciplineKanban Support: Effectively support Kanban systems to reduce excess inventory and improve material visibilitySafety Performance: Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety policies and reporting hazardsOperational Support: Contribute to smooth material flow and reduced production interruptionsJob QualificationsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands with a positive attitudeAbility to work effectively in a team environment or independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work and route schedulesAbility to manage time effectively and stay focused on daily material movement objectivesGood communication skills and willingness to escalate issues when neededCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementRequiredAbility to lift up to 25 lbsAbility to walk extended distances throughout the facility while executing material routesAvailability to work overtime, adjusted schedules, nights, or weekends as business needs requireBasic computer skills and ability to learn inventory and tracking systemsEligibility to work in a regulated manufacturing environment3–5 years Forklift experienceMaterial handler experienceJob Posted by ApplicantPro
