Panel Shop Technician

Job Description Advantex Solutions is a building automation company based on Long Island. We are currently looking for a panel shop technician. The job function will include assembling and fabricating control panels, wiring components, and performing quality checks to ensure proper functionality. The role will involve working collaboratively with the engineering team to meet project requirements and deadlines. The Essential Functions of the position include: Reading and following electrical schematics Assembling panel back plates, wire raceways and electrical components Wiring control panels based off engineered electrical schematics Testing panel circuitry for proper operation Qualifications Mechanical and electrical knowledge Experience with logic controllers and electrical wiring Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Attention to detail and quality assurance skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols Ability to use computers and software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Assembly: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Huntington Station, NY 11746 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Huntington Station, NY 11746: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
