Senior Staff Engineer - Remote

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for a Remote position with a Leading Technology Solutions Provider. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This position is 100% remote.As a Senior Staff Engineer on the Cloud Infrastructure Compute team, you will serve as the technical leader for the lifecycle management of a Kubernetes compute platform. This role is foundational to all features delivered in security, networking, developer experience, and efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring the platform's reliability, scalability, security, and developer experience to enable infrastructure and product teams to deliver enhancements across multiple cloud vendors.Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership on high-impact projectsInfluence and coach a distributed team of engineersDeliver enhancements that drive the cost efficiency of the cloud platformFacilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelinesManage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverablesContribute to the multi-year strategy to evolve the Cloud PlatformDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance the compute platformRequirements:BS, MS or Ph.D. in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience12+ years of relevant work experience in infrastructure4+ years of expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offering (e.g. EC2)Experience setting technical direction, planning, and successfully executing on large projects spanning multiple teamsAdvanced Kubernetes expertise, including hands-on experience writing Kubernetes controllers and experience building and working with admission WebhooksPassionate about efficiency, availability, quality and developer experienceDesired skills:Proficiency in Go (Golang)Istio/Envoy experiencePay range: up to $71.42 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!Aptask Global Workforce (AGW)ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
