Substance Use Disorder ProfessionalThis particular role focuses on helping us get caught up on completing ASAM (initial assessments). The workload will consist of 75% of their time dedicated to completing initial patient assessments, plus 25% patient care. This is a full-time position with a work schedule of 8:00-5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Location: Auburn, WA Compensation: $63,000 – $90,000 annually (range depends on licensure: SUDPT or SUDP). Based on years of experience. M-F - 8-4:30 or 7-3:30What You'll Do: Ensure implementation of all clinic policies and treatment procedures; recommend policy and procedure updates and changes as necessaryProvide individual counseling and case management services to assigned patientsConsistently maintain professional boundaries with patients and coworkersPromptly and accurately complete progress notations of all interactions with patients in assigned patient filesProvide professional preparation and prompt submission of:Initial treatment plansOngoing treatment plansResponses to positive urinalysis/breathalyzer resultsAdministrative detoxification noticesLetter of assistance and referral for assigned patientsClosing treatment summaries for discharged patientsDaily activity formsRequired state and agency recording formsMaintain regular communication with the MSO and attends meetings as requestedEnsure the confidentiality of all patients and the integrity of professional staff communication and behaviorServe as a leader or co-leader of therapy or educational groups and provide other treatment activitiesMeet with primary supervisor for the purposes of patient clinical consultation and clinical skill development, and/or other designated supervisor staff for the purposes of reviewing patient documentation and treatment planning issuesCoordinate assigned patient treatment with other staff departmentsParticipate in Treatment Team meetings to review patient treatment progress ad status, hear and act on patient appeal of administrative action and program non-compliance issuesKnowledge and compliance with HIPAA policies and proceduresParticipate in Federal and State substance use training and continuing education as needed to safely and effectively perform in the positionInteract with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the company’s mission and Best Practice Patient ExperienceSupport the mission with all other duties as assigned!What You Bring:Academic training in the social service field and in chemical dependency treatment as required in accordance with the qualifications for a Department of Health licensed Chemical Dependency Professional as stipulated in the WAC.The counselor is required to maintain this status and complete continuing education requirements throughout their employment. The Counselor must also provide the agency with ongoing documentation of their current Washington Department of Health C.D.P. license credential throughout their employment.Minimum Two years of experience in the social service field and in chemical dependency treatment is required in accordance with the qualifications for a Department of Health licensed Chemical Dependency Professional as stipulated in the WAC.Opioid Treatment Program experience will be given hiring preferenceLMHC desired, but not requiredExcellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of substance use treatment planning and counseling issuesComputer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic medical records systems, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological changeAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and outside contacts from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds; good diplomatic skills, including strong conflict-resolution skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsConduct all business activities in a professional and ethical mannerMust be able to pass required background checks and be in current compliance with all other testing, screening and credentialing as requiredEvening and weekend hours may be requiredAbility to travel as needed (minimal)
