HELP WANTED: MECHANIC – COMMERCIAL PRINTING FACILITY Company: American Litho Inc. Location: Carol Stream, IL Employment Type: Full-time About Us: We are a fast-paced, high-quality commercial printing company specializing in offset, digital, and finishing operations. As our equipment fleet grows, we’re seeking a skilled Mechanic/Printing Equipment Technician to keep our production running smoothly and efficiently. Position Overview: The Mechanic will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of printing and finishing equipment. You’ll work closely with press operators and supervisors to reduce downtime, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure all machines operate at peak performance. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on printing and bindery equipment - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance - Calibrate and adjust machinery for optimal performance - Maintain accurate maintenance logs and order necessary parts - Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations - Ensure a safe working environment by following company and OSHA guidelines - Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime Preferred Experience: - 2+ years mechanical experience (printing industry experience strongly preferred) - Knowledge of offset presses, digital presses, cutters, folders, stitchers, and die cutters - Skills in mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, and basic hydraulics - Ability to read schematics and service manuals - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail What We Offer: - Competitive pay based on experience - Health, dental, and vision benefits - Paid time off and holidays - Opportunities for training and advancement - A stable, long-standing company with a supportive team We look forward to adding a talented mechanic to our team!
