We are committed to providing a high-quality education to all students, with a focus on engaging marginalized youth and fostering a love for science.Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.Select and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs.Conduct hands-on science projects and experiments.Organize and host the annual Science Fair.Provide tutoring and academic support to students.Maintain excellent classroom management to create a structured, supportive learning environment.Build strong relationships with students and families, fostering a culture of respect and inclusion.Coach and participate in extracurricular activities.Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science program. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field.Master's degree preferredValid Illinois Teaching License with a middle school Science endorsement.Experience working with middle school students, particularly marginalized youth, is preferred.Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage diverse learners.Passion for STEM education and hands-on learning.Commitment to mentoring, tutoring, and supporting students beyond the classroom.
