General Service Technician

Job Description Childs Tire is looking for someone who can help us on our next journey to grow our business. We are founded on the principles of "Pit Stop Like Service," dating back to the 1980's, when the Childs brothers were pit crew-members of hall of fame NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace.Responsibilities:Conduct flat tire repair, mounting, and balancing and general tire serviceAssist fellow technicians / mechanics in performing various technical activitiesPreform Oil Changes and Tire WorkIndustrial/Commercial Tire experience (preferred)Maintain an organized and tidy bayAdhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules and regulationsDocument all work performed and recommended on assigned repair orderConduct road test to determine work needed and to confirm work was successfully completed when necessary and practicalRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentValid driver license, with a clean driving historyASE certifications (preferred)State Inspectors License (preferred)Ability to work in a fast pace environmentStrong communication, organizational and phone skillsBenefitsAfter 90 days of employment: health, dental and visionAfter 1 year of employment: paid vacation, sick time and IRAFREE AFLAC POLICYShop Hours:Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:30 pmNO WEEKENDSJob Type: Full-time Company DescriptionSince 1967, we have been proud to serve our customers in and the greater Saint Louis area.
