This position primarily supports the Technical Director, Forestry, while also providing coordination and operational support to the broader Forestry leadership team and program staff as needed to ensure the effective delivery of program activities and client services.Relevant Standards/SchemesAmerican Tree Farm SystemForest Stewardship Council (FSC)PEFC Chain of CustodyResponsible Wood CertificationSustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) CertificationOthers, as determinedEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProgram and Project CoordinationCoordinate day-to-day program operations, ensuring tasks, schedules, and deliverables are completed accurately and on timeMaintain program calendars, track project milestones, and prepare routine progress updates and reportsAssist with the management of program projects aimed at improving processes, meeting accreditation requirements, and streamlining operationsSupport resource planning and logistics for meetings, events, training sessions, and other program activitiesAssist in coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and workflow alignmentTrack program expenses and reconcile against budgeted amountsReview invoices from auditors and scheme owners, submit them for approval, monitor invoice status, and identify potential cost savings and operational efficienciesSupport the collection and analysis of data for financial and operational reportingAssist program management in organizing team meetings, events, and special initiativesManage new transaction verification projects as requested by Accreditation Services International (ASI)Ensure program activities comply with organizational policies, accreditation requirements, and quality standardsClient Support and CommunicationProvide exemplary customer service in response to requests and inquiriesProvide information to clients regarding the certification process and relevant program requirementsManage daily communications with clients, SCS program personnel, contract auditors, accreditation bodies, certification schemes, and other stakeholdersSupport the program through effective client relationship management within a collaborative team environmentManage and coordinate responses to conformance-related inquiries from accreditation bodies, certification schemes, and stakeholdersDraft, review, and distribute program-related communications, updates, and guidance materialsAdministrative and Operational SupportMaintain and organize program documentation, records, databases, and management systems to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and version controlSupport internal administrative processes, including document control, contract management, procurement, and tracking activitiesMaintain and update Work Instructions, templates, guides, and other operational tools and reference materialsCoordinate meeting logistics, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actionsDraft and distribute program communications, updates, and training materials as neededFacilitate document translations and support the preparation of presentations, outreach materials, and other program resourcesSupport managers and team members with training activities and the implementation of program processes and toolsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution of program activities and operational goalsMinimum QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Natural Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or Equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience and2+ years of professional experience Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Advanced proficiency)Exceptional database management skills with ability to rapidly learn new systems as necessaryAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to manage time, work well independently, and work in team-oriented situationsAbility to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all timesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented, collaborative team environmentProficiency in English with excellent writing and verbal communicationPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related field2+ years of experience in certification of relevant forestry standards (FSC, PEFC, SFI, SBP)The above description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
