2025-2026 Bus Driver
Position: Bus DriverJob Qualifications:* High School Diploma or GED preferred* Must be 18 years of age* Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License with a "P and S" endorsement* Must attend in-service training classes and safety meetingsJob Description:* Assist challenging students being transported to and from school as well as performing related work activities in a safe and timely manner* 180 Days for the 2025-2026 School Year* 6 Hours per day guaranteedDuties and Responsibilities:* Assist in maintaining, reading and understanding route sheets including time changes* Exercising student management through correct use of communication and discipline* Report discipline problems through proper school district procedures* Assist in the inspection of each vehicle before and after each trip using correct procedures and completing proper district documents.MENTAL DEMANDS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:Tools/Equipment Used: Operate school bus; two-way radio; global positioning system (GPS); safety equipment including but not limited to flares, reflective signs, and fire extinguisherPosture: Prolonged sitting; frequent standing and twisting; occasional kneeling/squatting, bending, stooping, and pushing/pullingMotion: Prolonged driving; moderate walking; frequent climbing stairs, grasping/squeezing, wrist and shoulder flexion/extension, and reachingLifting: Limited light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) on a daily basisEnvironment: Frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, noise, and vehicle fumes; work around moving vehicles; regularly work irregular hours, and occasionally work prolonged hoursOther Information:Your application is not complete until three current references have been received.
