Principal Program Manager - Migrations
Overview:
In this role you drive migration strategy and delivery for Snowflake customers, coordinating across clients and internal teams to migrate workloads, optimize usage, and scale solutions. You will be the trusted advisor on migration to Snowflake, shaping service offerings and driving key metrics. You work with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Professional Services to improve tooling and methodologies. Responsibilities:
Serve as a project management expert for migrations to Snowflake, covering assessment, planning, execution, and optimization.
Provide delivery quality oversight and guidance to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to migration best practices.
Own and manage the client relationship during migrations, including roadmaps and ongoing Snowflake utilization.
Lead migration projects with clear status reporting, risk management, and objective-driven communications.
Contribute to migration best practices, methodologies, and training materials for the Professional Services team.
Translate migration knowledge into practical tactics and procedures for delivery teams.
Collaborate with Practice, Sales, and Customers to scope projects, estimate work, and deliver updates.
Engage with System Integrators and Vendors on migration pursuits and progress.
Provide guidance for resolving migration challenges, own escalations, and high-profile situations.
Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's migration tools and offerings.
Identify process improvements in both client environments and Snowflake's migration processes.
Key requirements:
7+ years in a Services Delivery or similar role handling complex technical migrations, especially data warehousing, databases, or applications.
Proven track record delivering PS revenue targets and managing multiple migration projects concurrently.
Direct experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and/or Cloud with migration focus.
Strong ability to communicate across design, engineering, marketing, and business development, using migration terminology clearly.
