Paint Line Operator Quality Control

Quality Control PainterJoin our operations team as a Quality Control Painter, where you will play a key role in ensuring pallets meet customer paint and quality standards. In this role, you will oversee automated pallet painting equipment and inspect finished pallets to confirm they meet required specifications, including PECO standards. This position does not involve manual painting instead, you will monitor equipment performance, verify paint quality, and help ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining strong safety and quality practices.Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, PLA is a national supply chain solutions provider offering Pallet Management Services, 3PL Services, Reverse Logistics Services, and Freight Brokerage & Transportation Management Services, handling over 115 million pallets per year for over 1,500 customers. Now one of the largest pallet manufacturing and recycling companies in the United States, PLA has over 76 facilities, employing upwards of 3500 employees across 23 states, and is still looking for opportunities for growth, both organically and through acquisition.What You'll Be DoingMonitor and oversee automated pallet paint equipment to ensure proper operation and consistent paint coverageInspect painted pallets to confirm they meet customer specifications and quality standardsVerify compliance with PECO or other customer requirementsIdentify, separate, and report pallets that do not meet quality standardsMaintain accurate inspection and production recordsCommunicate quality concerns or equipment issues to leadershipFollow all safety procedures when working around paint systems, conveyors, and machineryMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentSupport other operational areas as needed to help maintain workflow and production efficiencyWhat We're Looking ForPrevious manufacturing, paint line, warehouse, or quality inspection experience preferred but not requiredStrong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects or inconsistenciesReliable, dependable, and safety-focused work habitsAbility to communicate effectively with supervisors and team membersBasic comfort documenting production or quality informationAbility to work in a team-driven production environmentHigh School Diploma or GED preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and move throughout the shift in a production environmentAbility to frequently bend, reach, squat, and handle materials during inspectionsAbility to lift, push, or move materials as required by the role and site operationsGood manual dexterity for inspecting pallets and operating equipment controlsAbility to hear alarms, machinery, and verbal instructions in a warehouse settingVision abilities required include near vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral awareness for quality inspection and safe equipment monitoringAbility to wear required PPE including steel-toe footwear, eye protection, and hearing protectionWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels.
