Installation Technician
Job DescriptionCrown Innovations is hiring an Installation Technician to work alongside our Electronics Technician team supporting the installation of radio communication facilities. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can install duct bank, operate a mini‑excavator and skid steer, and pour/finish concrete. You’ll be part of a field crew building critical infrastructure, so safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism are essential. The work requires 100% travel. A clean record and a valid driver’s license are required. Candidates must be able to pass a government background check for a Public Trust.What You’ll DoRead and interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprintsPerform trenching and excavation activitiesInstall underground conduit systems and duct bankPull and secure cables (including routing up 60+ towers)Calculate concrete requirements; form, pour, and finish concretePerform exothermic welding (training provided if needed)Operate skid steer and mini‑excavator safely and efficientlyWork side‑by‑side with electronics technicians during site builds and equipment installationTroubleshoot field construction challenges and identify the most efficient path forwardMaintain jobsite cleanliness, safety practices, and proper tool/material handlingHourly rate is $25–$40, depending on experienceQualificationsHigh School Diploma (or equivalent)100% travel requiredValid and current driver’s license (clean driving record required)Must be able to pass a government background check for a Public TrustMust be a U.S. Citizen or Foreign National with a permanent resident cardMust have a credit card for travel (reimbursable weekly per company policy)Several years of construction experience, including common hand tools and power toolsAbility to operate mini‑excavator and skid steer (required)Willingness and ability to climb towers (often 60+ feet) and pass a Competent Tower Climbing classAbility to perform hard physical work for 10‑hour workdays in outdoor conditionsStrong problem‑solving skills and ability to work safely with minimal supervisionMinimum 5 years of relevant construction experience (duct bank/conduit, concrete finishing, excavation, equipment operation)Required: 2‑year degree or certificate program in Construction Technology, Heavy Equipment, Electrical/Mechanical Technology, Utilities, or related trade program (or equivalent accredited program)Additional InformationVisit www.crownci.com for additional information about Crown Innovations, Inc.
