Junior Intelligence Analyst

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Intelligence Analyst to join our innovative team in Sterling, VA. This is a part time hybrid position with 1 day onsite a week.Each day U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace. The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of “big data” solutions to promote efficient trade and travel. These solutions provide CBP personnel with additional tools to evaluate potential threats from legitimate trade and travel.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToConduct Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analysis, reporting, and other OSINT products as required by the customer.Support the development of new OSINT targeting and exploitation techniques and analyze the effect of OSINT policy and tradecraft.Consult on how to leverage OSINT data and information, use specialized OSINT tools and services, and consult on developing OSINT products.Use advanced OSINT and social media collection and analysis techniques to support information requests concerning force protection, indications and warnings, counter threats, counterintelligence, and all source intelligence integration and assessments.Prepare finished analytic products, assessments, briefings, and other written or oral products on current threats and trends based on the sophisticated collection, research, and analytic tradecraft of all sources of classified and unclassified information, including intelligence collection INTs, open source, law enforcement, and other government data.Collaborate with analysts across the Intelligence Community, law enforcement, and other agencies on products, working groups, and additional information sharing forums.Minimum QualificationsHigh school and 0-6 years’ experience; associate degree and 0-4 years’ experience; or Bachelor of Science and 0-2 years’ experience.Familiarization using Microsoft Office Suite.Experience utilizing OSINT tools and with conducting open-source research, all-source intelligence analysis, or targeting.Experience accessing, researching, and exploiting global and regional social media and digital platforms.Experience working in law enforcement or classified intelligence analysis environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsCandidates will have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with government and industry personnel at all levels of seniority.Understanding of the CBP targeting environment and applicationsPrior National Targeting Center (NTC) experience, preferably with proficiency in operational data analysis.Experience working within an Agile development environment. Clearance RequirementsMust be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain DHS CBP suitability prior to starting this position.Physical RequirementsThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with coworkers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
