Areas of expertise are processing bottles through Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM) machines, and improving the performance of the supporting equipment: mixers, grinders, leak-testers, cappers, palletizers, printers, labelers, flamers, conveyors, etc.ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on support to manufacturing team by managing and adjusting machine settings, recipe management, startup, troubleshooting and machine optimizationDrive permanent solutions to improve throughput by reducing scrap and downtimeAnalyze processes and equipment for cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunitiesResearch, specify and price new equipment for purchaseManage projects to install new machinery and rebuild legacy equipmentCollect data to validate compliance with regulatory and internal standardsDevelop work cells and CAD layouts of the factoryOversee, assess and improve existing processes and workflowsGenerate reports documenting process status and changesPlan, collect and interpret data to qualify new toolsPrepare project status reports for management reviewProvide thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changesSupport maintenance activities and mentor individualsConducts risk assessmentsAssess compliance with safety and quality standardsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, or strong EBM processing and technical skills5+ years of experience in plastics manufacturingEffective written and oral communication, and computer skillsStrong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to delegate, prioritize and organize own work, and the work of others** We are unable to provide sponsorship for employment authorization (e.g., H-1B, L-1) now or in the future. **
