Operating with a lean team of eight staff and contractors, and raising $2 million annually, we partner with a 12-member board and five departments to drive research, advocacy, and patient engagement. As awareness of post-infection illnesses surges, Solve M.E. stands at the forefront—amplifying the voices of 9 million Americans and accelerating scientific discovery.Immunology breakthroughs and heightened public focus on Long Covid have created a tipping point. With a strategic research budget of $550,000 and the Ramsay and Catalyst Awards ready for renewal, Solve M.E. can turn early-stage insights into clinical progress. This is a unique moment to reshape the field’s research trajectory, strengthen patient-centered collaborations, and cement Solve M.E. as the premier funding authority in infection-associated chronic conditions.Scope & ImpactSet the vision and priorities for Solve M.E.’s $550,000 research portfolio, directing funds to high-impact translational projects.Lead the full lifecycle of the Ramsay and Catalyst Awards—issuing calls for proposals, managing peer review, and making final funding decisions.Chair the Research Advisory Council and Scientific Committees, synthesizing their guidance into our strategic roadmap.Expand Solve’s network across academia, biotech, pharma, government, and industry to catalyze co-investments and collaborative studies.Serve as Solve M.E.’s primary representative at major conferences and roundtables, supported by a dedicated travel budget.Collaborate with Development, Communications, and Advocacy teams to align research priorities with donor strategies and public narratives.Success Metrics & OutcomesWithin 6–12 months, you will relaunch a revitalized Ramsay Awards cycle, reform the Research Advisory Council, and co-create a 2024–2026 research vision with the CEO and Board.
