Geotechnical Design EngineerPosition Overview We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and designing geotechnical structures, ensuring the stability and integrity of projects in seismic zones. This role requires a strong understanding of ground improvement techniques and seismic design, along with the ability to work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct geotechnical site investigations and analyze soil data to determine ground conditions.Design and analyze foundations, retaining structures, and other geotechnical components.Implement ground improvement techniques to enhance soil properties for construction projects.Perform seismic design calculations and assessments for various structures.Collaborate with structural engineers to integrate geotechnical designs into overall project plans.Prepare technical reports and documentation outlining findings and recommendations.Conduct risk assessments related to geotechnical hazards and site conditions.Utilize AutoCAD for drafting and design purposes.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical design and analysis.Strong knowledge of seismic design principles and ground improvement techniques.Familiarity with soil mechanics, geophysical testing, and earthquake engineering is preferred.Experience with finite element analysis and structural analysis software.Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
