Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Boise, Idaho. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will excel in financial reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis to support informed decision-making.Responsibilities:- Prepare and review detailed financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.- Perform complex reconciliations for accounts and promptly resolve any discrepancies.- Oversee and support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting.- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and internal controls to maintain compliance.- Collaborate with auditors by providing necessary documentation and insights during audits.- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to management.- Maintain and update the general ledger while ensuring accuracy in journal entries.- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes, including preparing financial statements.- Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation.- Expertise in performing account and bank reconciliations with attention to detail.- Familiarity with internal controls and compliance standards in accounting practices.- Proficiency in analyzing financial data and delivering insights to stakeholders.- Effective problem-solving skills to address and resolve accounting discrepancies.- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.- Strong proficiency in accounting software and tools.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
