Pipe Production Technician

Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Production Technician to operate and maintain our laser robotic drilling equipment. This role is critical to ensuring precision drilling operations are executed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated manufacturing equipment and strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.Key Responsibilities:Operate laser robotic drilling systems to perform precise drilling operations on steel pipes.Operate and monitor machinery through HMI panels to adjust settings, track performance, and respond to alarms.Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor mechanical adjustments as neededNew part number changing over and setting up.Perform quality checks using inspection tools (calipers, gauges, measuring tape, and microscopes) to ensure parts meet specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production work orders.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety policies.Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and report malfunctions to maintenance or engineering.Record production data and complete all required documentation accurately and on time.Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to continuously improve processes and machine performance.Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and company policies.Create "Lesson Learned" cards or documentation whenever a problem is solved to capture corrective actions and help reduce future downtime.Manage spare parts inventory and usage, ensuring critical components are available to prevent production line stoppages due to part shortageTake ownership of daily production output and defect rate, ensuring performance targets are met or exceededQualifications:High school diploma or GED is required, and technical or vocational training in manufacturing a plus.1–3 years of experience in a production, CNC, or robotic equipment operation role preferred.Familiarity with automated manufacturing systems or laser drilling machinery is strongly preferred.Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications.Basic understanding of machine programming is a plus.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periodsSkills and Attributes:Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skillsHuman Machine Interface experience is mandatoryDependable, punctual, and safety-consciousExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesWillingness to learn and adapt to new technology and processes
