General Manager – Condominium / High‑Rise CommunityArlington, VA | 85 Units | 8‑Story Building | Built in 2006 | Annual Salary: $85,000The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations and facilities management for an 85‑unit, 8‑story condominium community in Arlington, Virginia. This role serves as the senior on‑site leader, with responsibility for staff supervision, financial management, facilities oversight, and direct support to the Board of Directors. The General Manager fosters a strong service culture while ensuring operational excellence and fiscal accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily property operations and ensure consistent service delivery. Recruit, train, supervise, schedule, evaluate, and direct the on‑site management and staff team. Lead by example to build a collaborative, high‑performing environment.Manage financial operations including budgets, vendor expense control, contract negotiation, and financial reporting. Review and present P&L statements, variance‑to‑budget explanations, balance sheets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors. Attend Board and committee meetings, prepare management reports, provide operational guidance, and maintain official records and meeting minutes in accordance with governing documents and applicable statutes.Ensure a safe, clean, and well‑maintained property environment. Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, sanitation, appearance standards, and cost controls. Conduct regular property inspections and escalate safety or quality concerns as needed.Represent the company professionally at all times with residents, Board members, vendors, and guests.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years of management experience required, preferably in condominium, high‑rise, hotel, resort, or rental environments. Strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage teams and multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required; Yardi experience preferred. Ability to interpret financial statements and operational reports.CertificationsCMCA or AMS encouraged. PCAM welcomed. Preference given to candidates with condominium and high‑rise management experience.Additional InformationRegular on‑site presence is required.
