Vehicle Inventory Management Specialist
Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist (Contract)Location: Sandy Springs, GAOverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist (Contract) to support the end-to-end lifecycle management of vehicles across the United States. This role is responsible for coordinating transportation, repair, storage, and final disposition (auction, sale, donation, or disposal), while maintaining accurate inventory tracking and ensuring operational efficiency.The ideal candidate will work closely with vendors, dealers, and internal stakeholders to ensure vehicles are processed efficiently, compliant with requirements, and returned to market when possible, all while minimizing cost and cycle time.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate movement, inspection, and repair of vehicles to reduce aging inventory and support timely dispositionManage transportation logistics between customers, storage facilities, dealers, repair centers, auctions, and donation partnersMaintain accurate, real-time inventory data, including vehicle location, condition, repair status, and disposition pathMonitor repair needs and parts availability; coordinate with dealers to schedule and complete repairsEnsure vehicles meet quality and compliance standards prior to resale or auctionPartner with third-party vendors to manage timelines, costs, and service levelsCollaborate cross-functionally with teams including Legal, Logistics, Accounting, Risk, and OperationsTrack repair approvals, invoices, and supporting documentation related to vehicle movement and dispositionIdentify aging inventory, bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies; recommend corrective actionsEnsure adherence to internal processes, documentation standards, and system updatesSupport special projects and operational initiatives as neededQualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in:Business ManagementSupply Chain / LogisticsOperations ManagementFinance or AccountingExperience:3–5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:Inventory managementLogistics or transportation coordinationAutomotive operations or fleet managementAsset recovery or remarketingVendor or third-party managementRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of inventory and vehicle lifecycle managementProven ability to manage vendors and coordinate across multiple partnersStrong organizational skills with high attention to detailAbility to analyze inventory data, aging, and costs to drive decisionsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience with inventory, logistics, or case management systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesAdditional InformationContract positionMust be able to work flexible hours based on business needsOccasional domestic travel may be requiredMay require coordination outside standard business hours#IND1#ZR
