Diesel Mechanic

Super Truck Center in Genoa City is looking for a skilled Heavy Truck/DOT/Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated service team and help keep our community moving. As a local leader in heavy-duty repair, we pride ourselves on maintaining a wide range of vehicles—from school buses and RVs to commercial trailers—with a relentless focus on safety and FMCSA compliance.If you are a self-motivated professional with at least two years of experience and a deep understanding of DOT regulations, we offer a dynamic environment where your technical expertise in engines, hydraulics, and braking systems will be the backbone of our shop's success.Responsibilities:Essential Duties:Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, school buses, and recreational vehicles per DOT/FMCSA regulationsDiagnose and repair hydraulic components, steering systems, electrical systems, engines, transmissions, drive train, and braking systems per DOT/FMCSA regulationsEvaluate equipment for needed repairsAssist in the parts department as necessaryPerform other related duties as required and assignedQualifications:Education & Experience:2+ years of experience as a diesel or heavy truck mechanicStrong knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA standardsASE certifications a plusCertifications for brakes to DOT specificationsTechnical degree or certification for diesel technology preferredKnowledge of the operation and mechanical functions of equipmentMust have own tools and a valid CDL driver's licenseConstruction Knowledge and experience preferredPhysical Requirements:• Regularly involves extended periods required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, climb on/under vehicles and/or equipment, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds in various conditions (outdoors, in shop, etc.)• Work in cold and hot weather conditionsAbout Company:We're a fast-growing nationwide leader in soil stabilization and pavement reclamation — recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of America's fastest-growing companies.
