Job Title: Motion Sensor Characterization Engineer. Experience between 3 - 7 years required.Location: Redmond, WAJD:ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with other researchers and engineers across both hardware and research teams develop experiments, prototypes, and characterization methodologies for AR/VR systemsWork with the team to help design, setup, and run practical experiments on motion sensors such as IMUs, pressure sensors and magnetometersOwn execution, interpretation, and reporting of sensor characterization resultsDefine, architect, design and drive implementation of scalable test infrastructureSupport system bring up and debug activitiesMinimum QualificationsB.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or related fields3+ years' experience with setup, management, and execution of sensor characterization equipment such as temperature chamber, vacuum chamber, shaker table, rate table,scanning laser vibrometer, bend and torsion tester or similar equipment3+ years' hands-on laboratory experience with mechanical and electrical hardware bring-up and debugDemonstrated experience with gyroscopes, accelerometers, pressure sensor and/or magnetometer characterization and qualificationExperience with statistical analysis using MATLAB, Python or similar programming environmentsDemonstrated ability for generating high-quality test & characterization reportsPreferred Qualifications2+ years' experience with scripting environments such as Python, MATLAB, or C/C++2+ years' experience in test software development using C/C++ or similar programming environmentsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly cross-functional team environmentExperience in testing and characterization of consumer electronics devicesHigh levels of creativity and quick problem-solving skills
