Details 12-bed intermediate care step-down unit applying critical care and neuroscience principles Patient population includes neuro ICU transfers, neuro trauma, subarachnoid/intraventricular/intracerebral hemorrhage, ENT oncology (tumor resection with flap reconstruction), post-op spine, and a broad range of neurological conditions Patient ratio of 1:3 Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00 13-week contract Every other weekend required Every other holiday required Floating required per facility float policy EMR: Epic (experience required) Requirements Active VA or Compact RN license required; VA license pending will be accepted Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Epic EMR experience required Two professional references required for consideration Driver's license and Social Security card copies required for consideration Additional Information Provide intermediate-level neuro and critical care nursing to a complex neurological and post-surgical patient population Certification copies (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS) must be submitted for consideration Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-687438.
