Mix Dock Loader (Night Shift)

Summary Objective Position requires loading trucks with various commodities with correct configuration and weight distribution based on the Loading Manifests. Essential Job Functions · Operation of forklift and/or pallet jack in a safe, efficient and precise manner · Pre-op inspection of forklift and completion of inspection report and report issues to supervision · Visually inspect trailers for cleanliness and/or damage before loading product · Load product on trucks with correct configuration and weight distribution o Utilize scan guns to load products by commodity, size, and quantity · Read, understand, and execute Loading Manifests and Bill of Ladings · Effectively communicate with supervision · Manually stack and re-stack cartons · Operate machinery and equipment including, but not limited to scan guns, forklifts, forced air tunnels, dock plates, truck restraints, dock levelers, blue tooth probes, etc. · Maintain high levels of productivity · Follow verbal and written instructions from supervision · Awareness of all safety aspects and dangers of machinery Requirements Complete & pass company forklift certification test Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide) Work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude Preferred Requirements 1 year of forklift driving and loading experience Other Job Functions · Understand and follow all company rules and regulations, including but not limited to: o Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) o D’Arrigo Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) o Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) o Driscoll Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) o Attendance, Work and Safety Rules o Food Safety and Hygiene Policy · Professionally represent the company to outside personnel. · Follow verbal and written instructions from supervision · Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned by Supervision · Maintain cleanliness of cooling units inside and out · Maintain an organized and clean work area Competencies Ability to communicate with supervision Self-starter, motivated and ability to work under minimal supervision Perform work in a safe manner Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude Physical Demands See Physical Demands Worksheet Work Environment Work in a 32-36 degrees Fahrenheit warehouse environment Work Monday to Saturday Regular and consistent attendance mandatory Additional Eligibility Requirements N/A Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Pay: From $24.25 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid sick time Vision insurance Work Location: In person
