Job Description
Clearance Level Required:Position Requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph.Location:Northern VirginiaThe Mission:Square Peg Technologies is looking for data scientists who enjoy leveraging large sets of data to tell stories. In this role, you will apply modern machine and deep learning approaches to import, clean, transform and model data that supports our nation's core intelligence decision-makers. You will be responsible for designing or presenting conclusions gained from analyzing data using statistical tools like Tableau, Python, R and others.Basic QualificationsWork as the lead data strategist, identifying and integrating new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities and work closely with the engineering team to strategize and execute the development of data productsExecute analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make a true impact across various domains and industriesResearch and devise innovative statistical models for data analysisCommunicate findings to all stakeholdersEnable smarter business processes—and implement analytics for meaningful insightsIdentify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variablesDevise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracyAnalyze data for trends and patterns, and Interpret data with a clear objective in mindImplement analytical models into production by collaborating with software developers and machine learning engineers.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline2+ years experience in data scienceProficiency in data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysisAdvanced pattern recognition and predictive modeling experienceExperience with Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, and programming languages (i.e., Java/Python, SAS)Master's degree in stats, applied math, or related disciplineSquare Peg Technologies Company InformationSquare Peg Technologies is a boutique technology consulting firm that specializes in data solutions using the latest technologies in analytics, data science, data engineering, and data management.
